I'm Joe Tutty, a songwriter and musician based in Manchester, North West England.
I've been a musician for many years, more recently writing and producing songs. This website provides a space for my music, where anyone can listen and download it. There are also some articles on home recording, based on my experiences, and some drone videos of my local area backed by my songs.

My Story
Sidehustle.
Seems to be the word of the moment, doesn't it?

In 2020 I had a stroke of luck. I was offered a redundancy package by my employer, as they made a desperate attempt to balance their books during Covid. It was a golden opportunity for me to live quietly without having to work. Lucky me!

Although I loved my job, I was glad to see the back of it, as I was becoming increasingly interested in writing songs and producing music. I've been making music in one form or another since my teens, mostly playing live. I just about managed to keep it up during my working life, but it wasn't always easy and sometimes it had to take a back seat.

Towards the end of my time at work and during the covid lockdowns, I wrote a bunch of songs that was to subsequently become my first album “A Deep Third Man” (I’m a big cricket fan). You can listen to it and download it for free by following the link below.​

So, you could argue this is my sidehustle. To be honest though, making music is the only thing I've ever really wanted to do. The real sidehustle was the world of work, which was only ever a means to an end.
